As the work on In Search of Giants continued and the book became a reality, it quickly became apparent that it would be difficult to get the book published through traditional publishing. I decided it was time to look at publishing alternatives, and I found a welcome home in the independent publishing world. Fairsing Publishing was born. By then I had been studying the Irish language and wanted to incorporate my love of Irish into my new love of indie publishing. In Irish, fairsing (pronounced far-shing) means far-reaching, expansive, and open-hearted. It is everything that I hoped any publication that I would be involved with would be. I will see how far Fairsing takes me as I learn more and more about indie publishing and enjoy all the writers, editors, designers, and printers that I have met and will meet along the way.
